Side Project with Orbix Studio
Snap Wash
2022
SnapWash is a mobile app I completed as a personal practice project, originally initiated by a client from Orbix Studio. Although the client ultimately chose to move forward with a different direction, I decided to take on the unfinished project to refine my UI/UX skills and honor the original vision.
The core concept was to create an intuitive platform where users could easily schedule laundry services through their smartphones. The development process began with extensive research into user needs and behaviors, focusing on pain points such as time constraints and the hassle of managing laundry tasks.
I designed the app with a clean, minimalist interface that prioritized ease of use, ensuring that even users with limited tech experience could navigate it effortlessly. The first step involved wireframing the app, where I mapped out the user journey from logging in to scheduling laundry pickups and deliveries. Once the wireframes were established, I created high-fidelity mockups, incorporating vibrant colors and user-friendly icons to create a pleasant visual experience.
I then moved on to prototyping, where I integrated interactive elements to simulate the app's functionality. User testing played a crucial role in refining the design, as real users provided valuable feedback on usability and features. Based on their insights, I adjusted the app's navigation and ensured the process of ordering laundry services was as smooth as possible. The app was then developed to handle seamless transactions, real-time tracking of laundry status, and reliable communication between users and laundry experts.
Throughout the project, I learned how to balance aesthetics with functionality, focusing on providing an experience that’s both visually appealing and practical. It was an exciting challenge that helped me grow my UI/UX design skills, particularly in crafting solutions that address real-world needs while maintaining a delightful user experience.
